In his homily at Mass on Thursday morning, Pope Francis spoke about the joy and happiness experienced by God in the parable of the lost sheep. The Pope quoted from the reading of St. Luke which talks of how the scribes and Pharisees were scandalized and murmured against Jesus and the things he did such as eating with the publicans and the sinners. But, said the Pope, Jesus responds to this murmuring hypocrisy with this joyful parable of the lost sheep.
